Lead Carpenter

Under the supervision of the Manager, Maintenance performs construction, repair, and maintenance carpentry at the journeyman's level for all hospital facilities, related equipment, furniture and furnishings. Responsible for the technical proficiency of the other carpenters to ensure work is of the highest quality and all documentation is accurate and complete. Directs the efforts of assigned staff when applicable. Provides in-service education for Maintenance personnel in the operation of locks, doors, fixtures and hardware systems. Ten years of diverse carpentry experience in construction, repair, maintenance, and cabinetry with a minimum of five years experience at the journeyman's level and knowledge of building and life safety codes. Massachusetts construction supervisors license required.
