Civil Engineer

Civil Engineer, (Department of Public Works) DIRECT LINK TO JOBDESCRIPTION: primary duties and responsibilities will be with the EngineeringDivision of the Department of Public Works (DPW). Under the supervisionof the Commissioner of Public Works, the Civil Engineer shall performwork within the Engineering Division related to the planning, survey,design, contract specification, bidding, construction, and operation ofstreets, sidewalks, drainage systems, street lights, traffic controls,and other public works infrastructure. S/he shall have a prominent rolein the permitting and construction administration of the City?s variousinfrastructure projects and will interact directly with the public,contractors and other DPW personnel.**
