Land Development, Project Manager Location : DC, MD, or VA Employment Type : Full-Time Experience Level : Minimum of 8+ years of experience Position Overview: We are seeking aseasoned Land Development Project Manager with at least 8 years of experience to lead and manage a wide range of residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. This is a leadership role that combines technical expertise, project oversight, and client relationship management. This engineer can be located in District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, or Maryland. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on land development projects. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design tools. Deep understanding of local regulations, zoning, and permitting processes. Proven leadership and project management skills with the ability to manage budgets, timelines, and multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management abilities. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all phases of land development projects, from conceptual planning through construction support. Oversee the preparation of site layout, grading, stormwater management, and utility design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, agencies, and consultants, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Guide and mentor a team of engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and collaborative problem-solving. Prepare project proposals, scopes, budgets, and schedules. Coordinate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals. Drive business development by maintaining client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
