Construction Project Manager in Iowa City,IA,US

The Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, budgeting, and supervision of construction projects from initiation to completion. This role demands strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to deliver projects on time, within budget, and up to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all stages of construction projects, including pre-construction planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and on-site execution. Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies. Create and manage project schedules and budgets; monitor progress and implement adjustments as required. Perform regular site visits to verify quality control, ensure safety compliance, and confirm alignment with project plans. Lead project meetings and deliver updates to senior management and stakeholders. Identify and resolve conflicts, delays, or other issues to maintain project momentum. Manage procurement processes for materials, equipment, and labor. Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and safety standards. Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years' experience in construction project management. Proven ability to manage commercial or residential construction projects from inception to completion. Proficiency in project management tools such as Procore , Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam . Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations. Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
