JOB REQUIREMENTS: Assistant Project Manager Job Description A JuniorProject Manager assists in planning, coordinating, and overseeingproject activities, working under the supervision of a senior projectmanager. They support project managers with tasks such as creatingschedules, managing budgets, communicating with customers, and trackingprogress. Responsibilities: Assist in developing project plans,including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources. Identify and assigntasks, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met. Assist in planningwork in conjunction with our on-site superintendents, making sure allnecessary tradespeople, subcontractors, materials, equipment, safetyconsiderations, approvals, permits, and preconstruction meetings are inplace before starting an item of work. Help ensure project deliverablesmeet quality standards. Prepare and present project status reports tothe Senior Project Manager. Provide administrative and logisticalsupport to the project team. Continuously learn and develop projectmanagement skills and knowledge. Prepare Contracts and Purchase OrdersKey Skills: Have or be able to achieve an understanding of projectmanagement fundamentals. Excellent written and verbal communicationskills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability toidentify and resolve project issues. Ability to work effectively withdiverse teams. Self-motivated High attention to detail Qualifications:Must be enrolled and graduate from an accredited technical trade Schoolor University. Some prior experience in project management or a relatedfield is beneficial but not required. Plan, schedule, or coordinateconstruction project activities to meet deadlines. Prepare and submitbudget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports. Interpretand explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner ordeveloper, including administrative staff, workers, or clients. Directand supervise construction or related workers. Prepare contracts ornegotiate revisions to contractual agreements with architects,consultants, clients, suppliers, or subcontractors. Confer withsupervisory personnel, owners, contractors, or design professionals todiscuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, complaints, orconstruction problems. Plan, organize, or direct activities concernedwith the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, orsystems. Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with buildingand safety codes or other regulations. Investigate damage, accidents, ordelays at construction sites to ensure that proper constructionprocedures are being followed. Study job specifications to determineappropriate construction methods. Implement new or modified plans inresponse to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergencies.Develop or implement quality control programs. Requisition supplies ormaterials to complete construction projects. Contract or oversee craftwork, such as painting or plumbing. Inspect or review projects tomonitor compliance with environmental regulations. Perform, or contractothers to perform, pre-building assessments, such as conceptual costestimating, rough order of magnitude estimating, feasibility, or energyefficiency, environmental, and sustainability assessments. Develop orimplement environmental protection programs. Apply for and obtain allnecessary permits or licenses. Evaluate construction methods anddetermine cost-effectiveness of plans, using computer models. Applygreen building strategies to reduce energy costs or minimize carbonoutput or other sources of harm to the environment. Secure third-partyverification from sources, such as Leadership in Energy Efficient Design(LEED), to ensure responsible design and building activities or toachieve favorable LEED ratings for building projects.
