This position is responsible for supporting the efficient processing of soybeans and corn by handling raw materials and operating various types of agricultural equipment, including forklifts. The role involves loading and unloading crops and materials, both manually and with the use of equipment such as conveyors, hand trucks, and forklifts. The employee will operate and monitor machinery, listening for unusual sounds and watching for signs of malfunction to ensure proper functioning. Responsibilities also include adjusting machine settings and controls, tending to feed production equipment, and feeding machines using forklifts, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Additionally, the role requires weighing containers filled with crops and recording the weights, as well as operating conveyors and other material-moving equipment. The position demands physical activity, including frequent use of the arms and legs, and full-body movement. Tasks may involve climbing, balancing, walking, stooping, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy materials throughout the workday, and carrying items weighing up to 80 lbs.
