Job Description
This position entails the field inspection and oversight of contract signs and markings work to ensure contractor compliance with DelDOT plans and specifications. Duties also include daily planning, calculation and recording of contract pay quantities, computer data entry, keeping accurate and detailed records of work performed and coordinating with other sections as needed. Position requires night and/or weekend work, depending on the current assignment and the contractor's work hours. Work is performed under close supervision of a technical supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Engineering/Planning/Surveying Technician I
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Signs & Pavement Markings:
Knowledge of applied mathematical computations including algebra and geometry.
Knowledge of interpreting construction plans and details, schematics or technical drawings.
Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
