Full Job Description Position Overview The HVAC Lead Install Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial and institutional HVAC systems. The person best suited for this role will demonstrate a commitment to superior performance and outstanding customer service. In addition, this person will be detail oriented and team focused. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Technical Skills : Retrofit sites to bring rooftop mechanical systems to code, as needed Install commercial, residential, and institutional HVAC systems Braze and solder materials to connect piping Install and calibrate thermostats, humidistats, solenoids, and timers Service, install, and repair air ducts, indoor units, drain pans, drain lines, and outdoor units Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals. Inspect inoperative indoor, outdoor, and rooftop units to determine causes of trouble Service, repair, and replace defective parts and equipment Evaluate the operation of equipment using gauges, voltmeters, leak detectors, sling pycnometers, static, and velocity instruments Be proactive in refrigerant leak checking, pressures, and repairs Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of HVAC issues Organization and Record Keeping: Complete required paperwork and/or digital docs accurately and within required timeframes Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. Experience using field service software; ServiceTitan experience isn't required but a PLUS! Establish effective regular communication with Site Management to ensure they are kept informed of all ongoing maintenance activities Communicate with scheduling coordinator, HVAC Install Supervisor and HVAC Department Manager to ensure all planned install activities are completed efficiently and at the highest possible standards Provide all required job updates on a timely basis Complete equipment inventories as assigned Other Essential Duties: Provide outstanding customer service Identify and recommend to customers any additional work to be performed Maintain clean and safe conditions in machine and electrical rooms on each jobsite Participate in company's on-call after hours emergency program Meet company productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction standards Demonstrate Company Core Values of integrity, stewardship, operational excellence, customer focused, teamwork, people development, and innovation Act in accordance with all Company policies & procedures Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications: 2-5 years of commercial and residential service, repair, and installation experience Outstanding customer service skills Strong computer skills - must be able to use smart phone and peripheral applications Commitment to performing high quality work Ability and willingness to work overtime or weekends, if necessary Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record EPA Universal Certification - required NATE certification is a HUGE plus, but not required Compensation & Benefits: Competitive wages Company cell phone Health insurance (very generous company contribution towards premiums) 100% Company paid short-term and long-term disability insurance as well as a $50,000 life insurance policy Dental, vision, and other additional insurance options available 401k with discretionary company match Paid vacation and holidays Company-provided vehicle and uniforms Safe, professional, work environment Opportunities for career growth Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time Bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases Job Type: Full-time Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday On call Overtime Weekends as needed Supplemental Pay: Overtime pay License/Certification: Driver's License (Required) Ability to Commute: Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 (Required)
