Full Job Description Position Overview The HVAC Lead Install Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial and institutional HVAC systems. The person best suited for this role will demonstrate a commitment to superior performance and outstanding customer service. In addition, this person will be detail oriented and team focused. Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Technical Skills : Retrofit sites to bring rooftop mechanical systems to code, as needed Install commercial, residential, and institutional HVAC systems Braze and solder materials to connect piping Install and calibrate thermostats, humidistats, solenoids, and timers Service, install, and repair air ducts, indoor units, drain pans, drain lines, and outdoor units Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation manuals. Inspect inoperative indoor, outdoor, and rooftop units to determine causes of trouble Service, repair, and replace defective parts and equipment Evaluate the operation of equipment using gauges, voltmeters, leak detectors, sling pycnometers, static, and velocity instruments Be proactive in refrigerant leak checking, pressures, and repairs Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of HVAC issues Organization and Record Keeping: Complete required paperwork and/or digital docs accurately and within required timeframes Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job. Experience using field service software; ServiceTitan experience isn't required but a PLUS!
