Sheet Metal Mechanic Job Description We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our dynamic team for a commercial construction project. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal installation, fabrication, and repair, as well as strong knowledge of construction safety standards. Candidates with OSHA 10 and scissor lift certifications are highly preferred. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and repair sheet metal components in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and project requirements. Fabricate, measure, cut, and shape sheet metal using appropriate tools and techniques. Ensure quality and accuracy in all installations, including HVAC ducts, flashing, and other metal components. Operate scissor lifts and other construction equipment safely and efficiently. Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with other trades and team members to meet project deadlines and ensure worksite efficiency. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. Essential Skills Proven experience as a sheet metal mechanic, preferably in commercial construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals. Proficiency in using sheet metal tools, such as brakes, shears, and grinders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid OSHA 10 Certification (a plus).
