The Safety Manager will be responsible for overseeing the safety programs, policies, and procedures for our manufacturing facility. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of all employees by promoting a culture of safety and compliance with OSHA regulations. Key Responsibilities Core Duties Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across all shifts to ensure compliance with safety protocols Monitor and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all employees Lead and facilitate safety training programs for all employees Investigate workplace accidents and near-misses, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions Collaborate with production, maintenance, and management teams to address safety concerns Maintain safety records and reports for internal and external audits Respond to emergency situations and coordinate safety measures Stay current with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices Promote a safety-first culture within the workplace Monitor safety equipment and supplies Weekly Tasks Develop and distribute Weekly Safety Toolbox topics to supervisors and team leads Conduct comprehensive safety walkthroughs across all facility areas Review, sign, and maintain forklift inspection documentation Lead all safety training programs, including New Hire, Forklift and Scissor Lift Operations, Confined Space, and Pressure Washer Training Monitor shift reports for safety concerns and implement solutions Investigate and document all near-miss incidents Maintain and update Training Matrix for employee certification tracking Manage PPE inventory and procurement Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of safety equipment (Air monitor, Gas Detector, Decibel Tester) Issue and oversee permits for Hot Work, Confined Space, and Working at Heights Maintain accurate training records and documentation Monthly Tasks Conduct inspections of fire extinguishers, safety showers, and eyewash stations Inspect fall protection equipment and harnesses Lead Safety Committee meetings Collaborate with National Safety Consultant for facility walkthroughs and program reviews Conduct and document facility-wide decibel monitoring Perform gas line leak detection inspections Complete ladder safety inspections Review OSHA logs with HR for compliance Quarterly and Annual Tasks Execute comprehensive safety audits across all departments Update Hazcom Program and SDS Logbook Conduct annual PPE facility assessment Review and update all Safety Procedures, Rules, and SOPs Organize and oversee emergency response drills Coordinate required inspections and testing for facility equipment To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
