- Manage the bid process for potential projects, including attending pre-bid meetings and walk-throughs.
- Assemble the final bid proposal, including labor, material, subcontractors, and other relevant project costs.
- Manage contract negotiation, including final scope review and confirmation.
- Serve as the primary contact for any project-related issues.
- Attend internal and external project meetings and communicate with other trades, the General Contractor, and clients.
- Establish, monitor, and maintain the project's schedule.
- Monitor, forecast, and manage all job costs to maximize profitability.
- Notify customers and/or general contractors of any delays or scope changes within the contract timeline.
- Manage project deadlines and milestones, assign team responsibilities, and summarize project progress.
- Oversee, support, and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports regarding project status and communicate changes to ensure proper execution.
- Manage project budget, tracking, and reporting project hours and expenses.
- Oversee general project functions, including submittals, subcontracts, purchase orders, and document revisions.
- Ensure proper staffing of the project with the Superintendent.
- Work with the Safety Director and Superintendent to ensure all safety regulations are met.
- 4 or more years of experience in electrical Project Management and Estimating.
- Experience managing electrical projects valued at $1 million or more.
- Proficiency in estimates in excess of $1 million.
- Experience in commercial, institutional, automotive, and heavy industrial electrical projects.
- Experience with estimating software, preferably Accu-Bid.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering is desirable.
The position starts at 7 AM, requiring 40+ hours per week. You will report to the Operations Manager within a company comprising 125 employees, including 70 Electricians & Field Techs, 12 General Contractors, 6 Project Managers, and 3-4 Estimators. You will have your own desk, phone, and laptop. The team environment fosters a strong family feel within the company.
