Motor Grader Operator - up to $33.00 / hr

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Grader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience with GPS Machine Control systems, a deep understanding of finishing base rock and gravel for roads and parking lots and proficiency in Blue Top grading techniques. This role requires precision, efficiency and the ability to operate in tight spaces while maintaining high production levels.

Job Duties:
Operate a motor grader with precision to prepare and finish surfaces for roads, parking lots and other construction projects.
Utilize GPS Machine Control systems to ensure accurate grading and adherence to design specifications.
Perform fine grading of base rock and gravel, ensuring proper compaction, drainage and smoothness.
Execute Blue Top operations by setting final grade stakes and matching the grade to required elevations and slopes.
Work effectively in tight or constrained areas, maintaining productivity without compromising quality or safety.
Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Collaborate closely with site supervisors, project managers and crew members to meet deadlines and specifications.
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, site policies and regulatory requirements.
Perform general labor and ground work as needed to support project completion.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Motor Grader Operator, specifically with GPS Machine Control systems.
Expertise in finishing base rock and gravel for roads and parking lots.
Proficient in "Blue Top" operations on dirt and gravel surfaces.
Strong understanding of grading techniques and principles.
Ability to work efficiently in tight spaces and maintain high production speeds.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Valid driver's license and relevant operator certifications.
Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Skills:
Experience operating other types of heavy equipment (e.g., bulldozers, loaders, compactors).
Familiarity with construction project planning and reading site plans.
Knowledge of various soil types and their behavior during grading and compaction.

Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have reliable transportation.
Able to meet all physical requirements such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending and lifting 50 pounds or more.
Ability to work around loud noises and can tolerate being exposed to odors, gases, dust, etc.
