Our Employee-Owned company has immediate full-time openings for a Junior Plumber in the Southeast. This position will work within Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare, and Federal businesses and be part of an amazing and GROWING team! All positions are regular, full-time and benefits eligible. Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge.

Junior plumbers are charged with assisting licensed plumbers to maintain, inspect, and modify new or current plumbing systems within residential,commercial, and industrial buildings and other areas. They will assist with maintaining, installing, and dismantling all types of pipelines, fittings and hydraulics as required for new construction, service, and maintenance (both rough-in and trim-out). Gas line installation and repair are part of this occupation so adherence to Federal, State, and local code is paramount. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills are required as well as a desire to learn plumbing codes and regulations. Junior plumbers are fully responsible for their own safety and the safety of those around them and must identify hazards or potential hazardous and creates and submits Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

JobDuties:

Assist in the Installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial, industrial, and residential structures.

Assist with the Installation, repair, and maintenance of gas valves, fittings according to Federal , State, and local codes.

Work closely with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.

Follow building plans and blueprints unless told otherwise by plumber.

Respond to and diagnose and remedy plumbing emergencies.

Perform routine inspections of plumbing & drainage systems and inform plumber of results.

Perform light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as directed by a plumber.

Keep accurate records of work time, description of work performed, and materials used.

Assist with the preliminary and final inspections of all systems by participating in pressure tests, control adjustments and equipment operability. Helps to troubleshoot systems and interject corrective actions as needed to meet customer needs. Works with plumber to analyze factors that affect efficiency and effectiveness and ensures systems are operating according to specifications as well as OSHA and other regulatory bodies specifications.

Performs inspections as required by plans or codes.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED.

Valid driver's license.

Willing to purchase own tools. .

Possess good communication skills.

Prior experience in the construction or servicing field preferred.

Willing to acquire knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices.

Rudimentary knowledge of reading blueprints and rough drawings.

Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper.

Effective oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to complete projects while under supervision.

Developing problem-solving skills.

Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements.

Strong desire to be part of a dynamic and Servant Leadership based company.
