Carpenter** **Job Description** We are currently hiring for carpenters, helpers, and foreman in the Rocky Hill, CT area for a frame/finish project. The main duties for carpenters are laying out stairs for buildings to allow teams to reach the top floors of new buildings. You will be required to install a set of stairs every two days. Punch list, finish work, and framing will all be aspects of the job. You will need your own tools including a tool belt, speed square, tape measure, chalk line, and a set of impact guns. Anything outside of that will be provided upon request. Foreman will be responsible for leading a crew of 2 helpers and 2 laborers. The project is slated to start on June 9th and go until next year. You will need strong experience in commercial construction. Pay rate: Helpers: $20-$25 Carpenters: $25 - $35 Foreman: $35 - $40 **Responsibilities** + Drive to commercial job sites. + Lead a diverse crew of carpenters to complete projects on time and within budget. + Teach carpentry skills to newer skilled laborers and carpenters + Ensure all safety measures are practiced at all times. **Essential Skills** + 5 years of lead finish carpentry experience. + Commercial carpentry experience. + Ability to teach carpentry trade to apprentices and journeymen. + Proficiency in English. + Ability to read measuring devices and perform accurate math. + OSHA 10 certification. + Personal Protective Equipment (high-visibility clothing, safety glasses, hard hat, hearing protection). + Tool belt with personal tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Bilingual abilities. Projects include the construction of new apartments and commercial buildings, both indoors and outdoors. Sites are winter-proofed to ensure work continues throughout the year. **Job Type & Location** This is a full-time position based out of Rocky Hill Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
