MIG Welder Job Description Join our team as a MIG Welder where you will be instrumental in manufacturing stainless steel tanks for the dairy industry, ensuring that most welds meet food-grade or sanitary standards. Utilize your skills in welding, grinding, and fabrication to work primarily with MIG on stainless and aluminum materials using Lincoln welders. This role also offers opportunities to get certified in-house in TIG welding. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum for tank production in various positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead. Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt, custom fabricate, or grind materials to meet technical requirements and create the final welded product. Control fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent overheating, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage of parts. Read and understand basic prints/drawings. Problem-solve fabrication tasks independently. Execute overhead welding efficiently. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding with over 3 years of experience. Strong skills in stainless steel welding, blueprint reading, and fabrication. Ability to set up and weld any metals unsupervised using MIG and TIG. Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving in tank production. Ability to identify correct metal and process for orders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to train and supervise multiple individuals (5-10 people). Expertise in welding various thicknesses of metal. Self-motivated with a capacity for working independently. Efficiency in work processes at 95-100%. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work on the 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, with overtime opportunities available after training.
