A knowledgeable and driven MEP Project Manager is needed to oversee the mechanical and plumbing scopes of a commercial project based in Moncks Corner, SC. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with 5+ years of experience managing mechanical and plumbing systems in complex projects. The MEP Project Manager will be responsible for driving project performance, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence for all MEP-related work.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage mechanical and plumbing project scopes from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring alignment with plans, specifications, and performance standards.
Coordinate MEP trades and subcontractors, facilitating communication between field teams, engineers, and stakeholders.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and material procurement related to MEP systems, proactively addressing any issues or delays.
Conduct site walks and inspections to confirm quality workmanship and compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Review and approve MEP submittals, RFIs, and change orders while maintaining accurate documentation and project records.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all MEP-related matters, ensuring clear communication with the client, design team, and project leadership.
Participate in project meetings and contribute to planning efforts to support successful project delivery.
Collaborate with general superintendents and site teams to ensure proper installation and sequencing of all MEP systems.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience managing both mechanical and plumbing scopes on commercial construction projects.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems, drawings, submittals, and construction sequencing.
- Bachelor"s degree in Construction Management, mechanical engineering, or related field is a plus, but not required.
- Proven ability to coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, and handle project documentation.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
