The Project Estimator is responsible for preconstruction services that accurately captures and disseminates project information to the client and the construction team.
Responsibilities:
Review project plans/specifications and utilize construction estimating techniques to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs to develop competitive bids
Collaborates with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines
Establishes sequencing and schedule
Evaluates historical data and market trends to improve accuracy and refine future estimates
Presents estimates and cost proposals to stakeholders for approval
Requirements:
A college degree in a construction related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
A minimum of five (5) years' experience in construction
Proficiency with operating systems and basic computer software programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must have experience with onscreen takeoffs and the ability to learn other specific software
