Manufacturing Global Power Components is a privately held, growing
manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large
generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing
fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. In 2018,
GPC moved operations into a newly renovated 300,000 sq. foot facility
that will foster our continued growth as we continue to be recognized as
an undisputed leader in our industry. As a result of our expansion and
continued organization growth, we are looking for a motivated Purchasing
Managerto join our Purchasing team. Global Power Components understands
the challenges of the current global supply chain issues. Therefore,
candidates, please be aware of the following: This position will be
sourcing domestically with very minimal international sourcing. Due to
Global Power Components primarily sourcing domestically, we have minimal
impact regarding on time delivery. This position will grow in
responsibilities in alignment with the company\'s growth. Global Power
Components is financially secure with ample cash flow in addition to a
large safety stock. Position Summary: This position will be responsible
for managing the purchasing activities. This includes but not limited
to: Establish and maintain supplier relationships this includes
negotiating supplier agreements Research current and potential new
vendors Analyze market trends for pricing Forecast potential blanket
orders and provide analysis to the buyer Review open order reports from
suppliers and communicate with operations on potentially late items
Ensure inventory data is accurate, update our purchasing perimeters
based on market trend analysis Qualifications: Strong negotiation,
decision making and organizational skills Working knowledge of
Purchasing and Planning related duties and responsibilities Proficiency
with MS Word, Excel and Outlook Preferred Qualifications: Experience
working with Pareto Charts Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Experience
with ERP systems, preferably Epicor Kinetic Purchasing or Planning
experience in a manufacturing organization Core Responsibilities:
Expediating job specific purchased components that may impact GPC\'s
production timeline. Review open orders and identify if materials will
