Responsibilities include hiring, performance management, training, corrective action, recognition and discipline/dischargeEstablishes standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, operating procedure, inspection and maintenance of equipment such as the fire loop, emergency generator, compressors, power distribution, HVAC, process water, argon system, plumbing, production equipment, fork truck fleet, grounds and general facilitiesDirects maintenance of plant buildings and coordinates requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules for equipment and machineryJob Duties:Manages annual budgets, recommends capital expenditures; approve departmental expenses. Negotiates vendor contracts. Manages capital projects from planning through implementationConducts annual updates of OSHA required training. Ensures renewal of all required inspections and licenses pertaining to the facilitiesResponsible for implementation of plant-wide preventive maintenance program; ensures compliance. Maintain data on equipment repairs and maintenance using data stream softwareFacilitate and participate in implementation of plant-wide initiatives including safety improvements, TPM, general housekeeping, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.Review and approve work performed by outside contractors for the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
