The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment used in utility-scale solar projects such as Bulldozer, excavator, mini-excavator and skid steer to complete civil work.NY Resident Preferred Not RequiredLong Term, permanent positionApproximately 70% of projects are prevailing wage ranging at $65-80 HR, Non-prevailing wage at $35 HRPer Diem Available (work days only)Client provides lodging (work days only)Responsibilities:Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, skid steers and other machinery, in the execution of utility-scale solar projects.Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities, including grading, excavation, and leveling, to ensure optimal conditions for solar module installation; IE: Build or expanding roads, hauling materials, trenching or drainage prep.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functionality, identifying and addressing issues promptly.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and your team.Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and fellow operators to achieve project goals within specified timelines.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment, in utility-scale solar projects.Experience: General Labor experience minimum of 1 year, must be willing to work as a labor when not operating.Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety practices and awareness of potential hazards associated with heavy equipment operation.Mechanical Aptitude: Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.Direct Hire and Traveling position (Local to NY area required)Benefits:Health, Vision and Dental InsurancePaid Holidays and PTO401(k) Retirement PlanGPT Renewables is an equal employment opportunity employer.
