The candidate willhave 8+ years of experience and will be a registered Professional Engineerin the state of Colorado with Public Works projects. Duties include but notlimited to, initial project research, plan production and management ofplan production staff, plan processing and management of plan processingefforts, construction administration and project close out efforts.Location: Denver, ColoradoEmployment Type: 40 FT HoursCompensation Type: SalaryRegistration(s): Registered Professional Engineer (PE License)Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)Duties:Function as a Lead Civil Engineer within Public Works practicesPrepare preliminary engineering reportsResearch jurisdictional requirements for appropriate incorporation into designand construction drawingsPrepare of proposal/contract and of project work plans and schedulePrepare design and construction drawings using AutoCAD and informationobtained from research activitiesCoordinate client management and marketing efforts for future workPrepare GIS exhibitsConduct site visits and documents findingsWork directly with clients and directing a staff with varied levels ofexperience and expertiseAttend, record, and distribute meeting minutes and assist with generalproject correspondenceWrites or prepares graphic materials for presentations or documentsManaging staff in the following duties of hydrology and hydraulic, floodanalysis, stormwater treatment, managing clientsInitiate and lead kickoff calls or high-level design calls with client inaddition to preparing monthly forecasting and client cost estimates whenappropriateKey Responsibilities:Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and properwork planning for a project. Ensures proper staff is assigned and utilized ontheir projects.Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress andbudget. Leads successful projects (profit, on-schedule, quality,satisfied client).Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects.Cultivates relationships with clients and holds strong relationships withclients.Understands, follows, and enforces Huitt-Zollars' business processincluding weekly rhythm.Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additionalopportunities with existing clients and may be responsible for a statedportion of office sales goal. Assists and/or leads team in pursuit of newwork (repeat work, SOQ and Proposals). Develops and/or executesproject Win strategy.Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives.
