Press Brake Operator Job Description As a Press Brake Operator, you will operate a computer-controlled press brake machine to perform functions on metal workpieces, following specific work instructions. This role involves working with HDS brakes, four and ten-foot brakes, and forming work specifically on Rockwell parts. Responsibilities Adjust production equipment and machinery setup. Clean equipment and machinery. Examine products to verify conformance to specifications. Monitor production machinery operation to detect problems. Operate metal or plastic fabricating equipment. Perform safety inspections in manufacturing settings. Program computer numerical controlled machines. Read blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings. Set up computer numerical control machines. Use computers to input, access, or retrieve data. Use hand or power tools and precision measuring tools. Apply Statistical Process Control Data to make machine adjustments. Essential Skills Experience as a machinist, particularly with press brake operation. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Proficiency in using micrometers and other measuring tools. Knowledge of CNC operations. 6+ months of machine operator experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic reading and writing skills. Ability to communicate effectively with management and peers. Capacity to organize, plan, and prioritize work. Work Environment The work environment is a clean, air-conditioned shop within a precision metal fabrication service company, closely partnered with the Aerospace industry. It is a non-union setting offering 1st and 2nd shift work from Monday to Friday. First shift is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, and third shift from 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
