Job Type:
Full Time
Salary:
USD $95,000 - $110,000 / year
Description
Overview: The Senior Project Manager serves as the central point of contact and management for client projects and internal initiatives. The position interfaces with all areas and stakeholders of the project, including internal client delivery team members, end users (including company executives), distributors, and vendors. To succeed in this role, they must be able to blend technical competence with the ability to effectively manage several large high-priority projects concurrently under the general direction of the Project Director. Our client projects move quickly and require technical system knowledge to effectively understand and control the project scope, gauge appropriate level of effort, and plan adequate quality assurance. This includes coordinating Zuri project resources (consultants, business analysts, developers, etc.) and the client team to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to meet client expectations.
Job responsibilities often include elements outside of a typical project management role, and can extend into functional or technical consulting, business analysis, best practice use of fundraising technology, and QA. The successful project manager is energized by the diversity of the role and welcomes the opportunity to explore these areas.
Job Responsibilities
Demonstrate a firm grasp of PM principles and follow Zuri Group's PMO standards to manage the scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and customer satisfaction of multiple large, multi-phased projects ($1 million+ budget and/or 12-18 months implementation timeline), independently and concurrently without compromising one over another.
Create complex project deliverables, such as Project Charters, risk registers, visual workflows and dashboards, contract amendments, SOWs, and change orders.
Display an understanding of unique project needs and requirements to develop custom, multi-faceted project plans in an independent/autonomous environment.
Work collaboratively with the client and project team to define and oversee deliverables, breaking down work into assignments housed within a centralized task management system.
Proactively identify risks to projects and propose changes to meet success criteria. Escalate where appropriate to client and/or Zuri leadership.
Conduct project meetings, providing agendas and regular reports to communicate the status of projects to stakeholders within and beyond the project team.
Organize, plan, and manage project resources, for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentor Junior PMs.
Design documentation that can be socialized and repurposed as templates for other PMs to implement on their projects.
The above statements are not intended to be a complete statement of job content, rather to act as a guide to the essential functions performed by the employee assigned to this classification. Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
Relevant Skills & Experience
3+ years of direct project management experience required.
PMP and/or PMI additional certifications required.
Strong knowledge of Project Management principles and concepts, with proven ability to manage all aspects and deliverables of the project life cycle.
Ability to collaborate and establish strong working relationships with various teams and lead conversations about technical concepts with audiences of varying levels of experience, including non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with large non-profit or higher education fundraising and business processes.
SAAS or enterprise software consulting, non-profit operations experience strongly preferred.
Highly analytical, technically proficient, and able to learn new tools and software quickly.
Organized with the ability to manage complex workflows.
Adaptable to working in a fluid, fast-paced environment juggling multiple projects, tasks, priorities, and stakeholders.
Proficiency with Project Management and SDLC tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.
Proven ability to make independent decisions quickly and effectively, while determining and considering impact on projects and client experiences.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering and maintaining an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Bonus Points
Experience working with large non-profit or higher education organizations, with knowledge of applicable fundraising and business processes.
Salary range for this role is $95,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
