Machine Operator - Sheet Metal Fabrication 1st Shift | Mount Joy, PA | $18 - $20/hr About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator to join our growing team at a leading sheet metal fabrication company . This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who take pride in producing precision metal components and have a strong mechanical aptitude. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor fabrication machines such as press brakes, shears, CNC punch presses, or laser cutters Load and unload raw materials and finished parts Perform quality checks using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings Maintain equipment through daily inspections and basic maintenance Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment Accurately document production output and machine performance Minimum Qualifications: 1+ year of machine operating experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Ability to read technical drawings or blueprints Familiarity with basic hand tools and measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with sheet metal or CNC fabrication equipment Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S principles #1706-1
