Welder

The Welder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in alignment with Armstrong International's standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding operations on materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel, and other alloys. Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures to meet production requirements. Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring safety and functionality. Assemble and weld components according to engineering drawings and work orders. Inspect welded surfaces and structures for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications. Identify and resolve welding defects such as porosity, cracks, or incomplete fusion. Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces. Use tools such as grinders, saws, and plasma cutters to prepare and shape materials. Willingness to learn or train in the position. Must have the physical and mental stamina to stand, walk, lift, and adjust to the noise and lighting of the manufacturing environment. Other duties as assigned and not limited to just the above. Key Requirements Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to welding and fabrication. Strong attention to detail, precision, and quality control.
