2nd Shift Machine Operator/Metal Fabricator

A manufacturing facility in Largo, FL is seeking a motivated Machine Operator Helper to support production of commercial-grade metal door frames. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity for individuals with a background in spot welding and metal fabrication who are looking to advance into a full Machine Operator role.

As a Machine Operator Helper, you will assist experienced operators with machine setup, material preparation, and monitoring product output. You’ll support welding and light fabrication tasks such as grinding, drilling, and cutting. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with setup and operation of metalworking machines
  
  
• Load raw materials and monitor output for quality
  
  
• Support spot welding and light fabrication work
  
  
• Minimize material waste through efficient use
  
  
• Follow all safety procedures and lockout/tagout protocols
  
  
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  
  
• Perform physical tasks including bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and walking
  
  

Qualifications:

• Basic experience with spot welding and metal fabrication
  
  
• Mechanical aptitude and desire to learn
  
  
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
  
  
• High attention to quality, teamwork, and reliability
  
  
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
