This position is for the Fleet Ballistic Missiles (FBM) program, one of Lockheed Martins best-in-class Lines of Businesses that prioritizes partnership, integrity and reliability.
We are looking for a dependable project engineer to join our tight-knit group. This position is for the Structures IPT that both collaborates well in a team environment and has excellent communication skills. In this role, you will have numerous opportunities to interact with upper level management, Navy out-briefs and reviews, and opportunity for growth. The Structures IPT is responsible for the development, manufacture, and management of the Structures hardware.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for data products required for various reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc). This is inclusive of developing, collaborating, and final approvals of data products for each review and all corresponding tasks to lead up to successful review. In addition, you will be developing BOEs/proposals and schedule creation and refinement (utilizing inputs from technical team, managers, and long range strategic planners) and getting the opportunity to help the Structures team secure funding for years to come!
AS A VALUED MEMBER OF OUR TEAM YOU WILL:
- Create and obtain approvals at all levels of leadership and counterparts for successful execution of program milestone review (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc)
- Contribute to new business trade studies and help create proposals and schedules
- Enhance cross discipline product development
-Assist in Earned Value Management activities as needed- Experience in proposal response in one or more of the following: generating BOEs, Supplier SOWs, and ROMs
- Experience with driving documents through to release process
- Creation and/or detail planning of schedules
- Strong organizational skills
-Exposure to the Engineering design lifecycle (SRR, PDR, CDR) and creation of desired data products
-US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret security clearance- Missile and/or aerospace related education or experience
- Experience in Government RFP response
- Engineering background or experience leading an engineering team as a project lead/CAM
- Experience in areas of cost analysis, schedule, and risk & opportunity management
-Experience and desire to brief senior LM and Government leaders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated leadership and initiative
