Job Title: Sr. R&D Electrical Engineering Technician
Job Description
The R&D Electrical Engineering Technician II will contribute to the design and development of innovative electronic products to treat peripheral and heart valve diseases. This role supports multiple cross-functional development teams, managing projects from concept through commercialization. The technician will perform and support various development and engineering activities, focusing primarily on electronic circuit prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting, as well as building and maintaining lab tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Build and test prototype electronic hardware and systems using electrical tools such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, and digital multimeters.
- Develop and evaluate test fixtures.
- Read and interpret schematics for board layout.
- Assist engineers in qualifying components used for the boards.
- Document processes and results accurately.
- Troubleshoot and rework electronic circuits and cable harnesses.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in electronic circuit prototyping and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with tools like oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in electrical or electronic systems.
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Certified Engineering Technician (CET) accreditation is a plus.
- Experience with component qualification testing is beneficial.
- Willingness to learn and perform testing if needed.
Work Environment
This position is based in a state-of-the-art facility in Santa Clara. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, on-site, with no hybrid option. The role offers a flexible start time based on business needs, ranging from 7am to 9am, with an 8-hour shift. The facility is focused on developing innovative electronic products in catheter technology.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
