We're seeking an entry-level welder to join our team in Northwest Houston as a Welder Helper. As a Welder Helper you will work alongside experienced welders to get materials ready, keep equipment in good shape, and support welding projects. This is a great chance to further improve your welding skills and get real hands-on experience, with the potential to grow into a full time welding role in the future. There are two openings for this role.
(1st shift is 6:00 AM 2:30 PM / 2nd shift is 2:00 PM 10:30 PM)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist welders in preparing materials and tools for welding jobs.
Handle, move, and position materials and equipment as needed for welding processes.
Assist in grinding, cleaning, and finishing welded materials to specifications.
Help set up and operate welding equipment, including torch, electrodes, and other necessary tools.
Measure, cut, and shape metal pieces according to project specifications.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional vocational training in welding is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
Strong physical stamina, able to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
Basic knowledge of welding techniques and safety standards.
Must be able to read a tape measure.
