The Warehouse and Field Operations Manager is responsible for managing both the field service team and warehouse operations to ensure efficient service delivery, effective inventory control, and the achievement of profitability targets. This position provides leadership and direction to service technicians and warehouse staff, promoting high standards of quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will regularly inspect job sites to assess service performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity and profitability. Additionally, this role oversees all daily warehouse activities, including inventory oversight, delivery scheduling, material receiving, and maintaining appropriate stock levels to support field operations.   • Oversee and ensure the quality, profitability, and timely completion of all service department activities, including production, billing, project estimates, and associated documentation.
  • Supervise and schedule service technicians, warehouse staff, and dispatchers to maximize workforce efficiency and minimize idle time.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve disputes, and promote service excellence.
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work quality, provide technical support, and deliver hands-on training to field personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, health, and OSHA regulations while managing the organization and upkeep of service shop areas, vehicles, and warehouse facilities.
  • Direct daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, storage, retrieval, and prompt delivery of materials to support field operations.
  • Oversee inventory processes, including order fulfillment for equipment and parts, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring timely accounts receivable entries in the accounting system.
  • Implement cost control and efficiency initiatives throughout warehouse and service operations to optimize performance.
  • Facilitate technical training programs to develop a skilled workforce and review technician productivity reports to support continuous improvement.
  • Manage department invoicing, billing, and cash flow. Negotiate with carriers to support efficient logistics operations.
  • Oversee the procurement and maintenance of service tools, inventory, and company vehicles, including managing vehicle maintenance records.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 2-year HVAC technical degree and 7 years HVAC service experience or 12 years HVAC service experience including 5 years in a management positionor the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of dispatch operations, job costing, HVAC mechanical and electrical systems, controls, technical service procedures, safety processes and standards, service sales process, and estimating.
  • Maintain active company trade licenses and technical skills relevant to HVAC, chiller, boiler and controls services.
  • Certified in forklift operation.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, leadership, computer, communication and management skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and function at heights.
  • Ability to travel to and inspect jobsites as well as visit customer locations.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to remain professional and positive in high pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and collaborating with internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 15 years HVAC service experience including 5 years in a management position
  • OSHA 30
