Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our civil engineering services. This individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and leading proposal efforts to secure projects that align with our strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

Technical Evaluation: Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to ensure alignment with client expectations and project requirements.

Proposal Development: Prepare detailed, competitive proposals, including pricing and scope of work, to secure new projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production staff to draft and issue change orders when project scopes evolve.

Sales Management: Manage and report on sales pipelines, pursue growth targets, and ensure strategic objectives are met.

Contract Review: Carefully review client contracts to ensure that the scope of work accurately reflects our proposals and negotiated terms.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development or sales within the civil engineering or construction industry.

Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and project delivery processes.

Proven track record of securing new business and achieving sales targets.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM software.
