Looking for someone with previous solar installation or roofing experience only! Or at least be a skilled labourer.

Complete Grid-Tied and Off-Grid Residential and commercial Solar PV installations.

SOLAR PANEL ROOFER/LABOURER:

Can you work at heights?
Will you work no matter what the weather is like?
Are you physically fit?
Can you carry 50lbs up a ladder?
Have you had previous solar installation experience?

Job Description:

This posting is for Part-Time (up to 3 days per week) solar panel roof installer.

Compensation:

Wages will be $25-30 hour based on experience.

Requirements:

Previous site / construction / labouring experience is a must.

Comfortable working at heights with fall arrest gear:- on roofs, scaffolding towers, ladders etc.
Fall Arrest Safety training- If expired etc, VSE provides this.

Physically fit and able to carry heavy object 30-50 lbs at heights.

Full training will be provided to assist with the following duties:

Installation of components for Grid-tied solar photovoltaic systems.
You will be instructed step-by-step our Lead Installer.

Such tasks include:

Solar roof layout.
Installing solar roof attachments.
Installing solar rails and racking system
Installation of Optimizers and Micro Inverters
Wire management.
Transportation, lifting and installing solar pv modules (18-29KG in weight).
Installation of Tesla Powerwall batteries (253lbs each).

Qualifications:

Any Electrical or Roofing Qualifications will be seen as an asset.
Fall arrest and plant machinery Tickets also appreciated.

Prerequesits:

Driving License
Ability to lift over 50lbs
Team player who is dependable and reliable.
Presentable appearance to our customers.
Ability to abide by all safety policies and procedures
Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced and safe environment on both the roof and ground.
Prior roofing experience considered an asset.
Fall protection certification considered an asset.
First Aid Level 1 considered an asset.
