- Design electronics for aerospace embedded products, including microcontrollers and FPGAs.
- Develop schematics and circuit designs.
- Control subsystems such as BLDC motors and actuators.
- Determine systems and hardware requirements from customer requirements and statements of work.
- Prepare design documentation, project schedules, and test reports.
- Design for rugged environments with considerations for temperature, EMC, ESD, and vibration.
- Select components and perform derating for high reliability.
- Generate test software for hardware design validation.
- Create detailed bills of materials and assist in sourcing electronic components.
- Troubleshoot electrical device problems efficiently.
- Collaborate with PCB Layout Engineers to provide recommendations.
- 2-year degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering.
- 15+ years of circuit design experience for embedded aerospace or vehicular systems.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Proficiency in embedded microcontrollers.
- Strong ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Effective communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
- Ability to create technical proposals and presentations.
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering is strongly desired.
- Experience in BLDC motor or FADEC design.
- Experience in regulated industries such as automotive, military, or industrial electronics.
- Knowledge of FPGA and networking drivers.
- Experience with high power systems.
This position requires onsite work with one work-from-home day per week. The work involves engaging with high-profile electronics projects, including collaborations with notable companies and exciting ventures such as an EV helicopter project.
