Position Summary
PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled and dependable HandymanMaintenance Technician to join our team at a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility located in Millburn, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of a highly regulated GMPpliant environment, supporting the production of pharmaceutical products through effective facility upkeep.
This is a hands-on role with direct impact on safety, efficiency, andpliance. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform general maintenance and repairs including carpentry, painting, and flooring.
Troubleshoot and repair building systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment.
Execute preventive maintenance to minimize system failures and ensurepliance.
Support small facility modifications and layout adjustments as needed.
Maintainpliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Communicate regularly with the engineering and operations teams regarding maintenance tasks and priorities.
Ensure a clean,anized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years (entry level) or 3-5 years (mid level) of maintenance experience.
Proven ability to perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting and repairs.
Experience working with hand and power tools.
Basic understanding of GMP environments and safety practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Goodmunication and teamwork skills.
Preferred
Previous experience in a pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing facility.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Knowledge of facility infrastructure in a GMP setting.
