Machine Tool Electrician Description Frimo is looking to hire a Machine Tool Electrician to their team. They are currently working on floor track systems for Magna's Canada and Auburn Hills locations and foam injection machines for the seating equipment lines / instrument panels. This is a long term position, looking to bring someone on, train them, and have them travel with a lot of his team to do the installs. This individual will be responsible for the full wiring of both the assembly lines and presses. They will be required to read schematics and terminating wires. Any candidate who has experience with Panel Building would also be a fit. They do a lot of the custom equipment for Magna and other facilities, in the process of bidding on new projects, but what they have currently on their books takes them through 2025. Depending on what happens with the tariffs, will give them a chance to have an increase in headcount with bringing work to the US. Main requirements of our Machine Tool Electricians: - Read electrical meter / volt meter - Read the blueprints and symbols (we did not lock down on this the last time working with Frimo, as the individual that came in did not know how to read the blueprints or talk thru what was on his resume) - Electrical install and troubleshooting up to 480V - Knowledge and understanding around circuitry / circuits and wiring and troubleshooting - They sometime break down old equipment and then have to rewire new equipment, the wires will look like spaghetti on the floor. - Comfortable with hand tools and connectors, have their own tool box - Troubleshooting and installing sensors and fuses 1st Shift - 6:00am-2:30pm (4:30pm when they work 10's which they currently are) Monday - Friday but need to be open to working Saturdays Skills Electrical, Troubleshooting, schematic, blueprint, panel building, machine tool, conduit, electrician mate, wiring, print, industrial, install, installation, conduit bending, pulling wire, bending conduit, cable, repair, automated equipment, run conduit, electrical wiring, low voltage, pipe bending, mechanical Top Skills Details Electrical,Troubleshooting,schematic,blueprint Additional Skills & Qualifications Must Haves: **Must have Passport to travel to US/ Canada** 1. Ability to read schematics & blueprint symbols 2. Ability to do full wiring of machines 3. Ability to terminate wires 4. Have to have their own tool box (standard wiring equipment) 5. Read volt meter / electrical meter 6. Understanding and troubleshooting circuitry 7. Understanding that there will be travel 2-4 weeks at a time Nice to Have: 1. Panel Build experience 2. Troubleshooting and installing voltage up to 480V Disqualifiers: Only have done installs of robot or weld lines, need individuals that have experience with more custom equipment Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
