Position Overview: As a MIG Welder at Palmer Hamilton, you will play a hands-on rolein fabricating essential components used in custom-designedenvironments for schools and institutions nationwide. From readingblueprints to producing accurate welds, your work ensures that ourfinal products meet the highest standards of quality, strength, andappearance. Key Responsibilities: -Set up, operate, and adjust MIG welding equipment in accordancewith specifications and safety standards. -Interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determinelayout and weld requirements. -Perform welding operations on a variety of metal materials tocreate strong and visually clean welds. -Move and handle materials using manual and powered equipment asrequired to complete tasks efficiently. -Conduct self-inspections and collaborate with the quality team toensure products meet Palmer Hamilton's standards. -Record production and inspection data accurately and maintaindocumentation as required. What We Expect: -Demonstrate a strong eye for quality-identify defects in rawmaterials and alert your team leader immediately. -Meet or exceed established production rates while maintainingattention to weld integrity and aesthetics. -Communicate clearly and promptly with coworkers, team leaders, andsupervisors to support a smooth workflow. -Exhibit accountability in your work, from precision in your weldsto accurate record keeping and compliance with safetystandards. Qualifications: -Minimum of two (2) years of full-time MIG welding experience in amanufacturing environment. -Welding certification (preferred, but not required-on-the-jobexperience will be considered). -Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, productionschedules, and material handling documents. -Proficiency in shop math, including measuring, basic calculations,and understanding tolerances. -Familiarity with hand tools, grinders, and other fabricationequipment commonly used in a welding environment. -Strong attention to detail, time management, and a commitment todelivering consistent, high-quality work.
