Perform general maintenance of our properties,including--carpentry, flooring, electrical, plumbing patching,painting, appliance repair, grounds work, snow removal, unitinspections, construction monitoring, room setups for events, andsheetrock repair.----Essential Job FunctionsExecute preventivemaintenance and routine engineering checks in all mechanical andboiler rooms; maintains logs, work orders, and other requireddocumentation, including but not limited to RealPage FacilitiessoftwarePrepare vacant apartments for new residents and refreshesapartment units as neededPerform unit inspections to ensurebuilding/unit integrity, safety, and compliance to inspectionmandatesCarry out routine engineering checks in all mechanical andboiler rooms--Document time in/time out or other tracking systemfunctions on all work ordersPerform grounds maintenance duties,such as mowing, weeding, snow and ice removalMust be available torespond when assigned to evening, weekend, and holiday emergencycoverage for emergency mechanical/technical services.(Rotatingresponsibility with other team members)SKILLS & ABILITIESTwo yearsof hands-on experience with post-secondary technical trainingpreferredKnowledge of building trades, mechanics, and buildingmaintenanceHoisting License preferredFluent in English --Skilled inthe use of mobile devices, computers, and computerized systemsValidMassachusetts driver's license required,--Must be able to operatehand and power tools safely--WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICALDEMANDSFrequent standing and walkingAbility to frequently lift andmove objects weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to operate aBobcatAbility to work outdoors in winter conditions----2LIFECOMMUNITIES--provides superior housing to older adults of allbackgrounds who can thrive independently within a supportiveenvironment.
