We are currently searching for an experienced Environmental and NEPA Managerto support our East Gulf located in Alabama.

What you'll be doing:

Prepare NEPA studies for federally funded projects, including Categorical Exclusions (CE), Environmental Assessments (EA), Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) for various transportation project types and sizes

Coordinate with internal project teams

Perform site visits for projects as required

Lead public involvement efforts for environmental projects

Manage projects to achieve budget, schedule, and quality requirements

Assist in business development for environmental projects

What you need to have:

B.S. or M.S. in Planning, Environmental Science, or related field

5+ years of experience in transportation/NEPA planning required

GIS experience is a plus

Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative team skills are required

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines

Valid driver's license

A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
