Forklift / Machine Operator

Machine Operator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. This role involves operating machinery used in metal fabrication, with a specific focus on aerospace materials. The ideal candidate will have experience with band saws and forklifts and possess strong attention to detail. Responsibilities Operate and maintain band saws for cutting steel materials. Use a sit-down forklift to move materials within the facility. Read and interpret tape measures accurately. Conduct visual quality control checks. Apply metal to customer orders and process materials according to work order specifications. Ensure processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain the processing area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform additional tasks as assigned. Essential Skills Previous experience using a band saw. Ability to operate a sit-down forklift. Proficient in reading tape measures. Experience in visual quality control. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong attendance and work history. Attention to detail and ability to work on your feet. Comfortable working in a warehouse environment. Work Environment Work in a large raw material supplier facility that stores, cuts, and ships to customers. The fast-paced environment hosts over 60 employees on the floor. The facility is located in Auburn, WA, with operations spanning two buildings. The second shift operates from 2:30pm to 1am, Monday through Thursday, offering a competitive pay structure. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
