Stadler US Inc. seeks Commissioning Mechanic (multiple positions) in Salt Lake City, UT. Perform mechanical assembly, adjustments, and alignments of train components, including propulsion, braking systems, HVAC, and safety devices. Conduct functional tests of various mechanical systems on passenger trains in accordance with Stadler's commissioning procedures. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical components during the commissioning phase. Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints. Work closely with Type Test Engineers, electricians, and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues. Document and report any defects, issues, or deviations from specifications. Assist with the installation and adjustment of electrical and pneumatic components where necessary. Support the commissioning team in final vehicle testing and validation. Use a variety of hand and power tools to perform mechanical work and make necessary adjustments. Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring that tools and equipment are properly maintained.Requires 5 years of related rail, automotive, or heavy machinery industry experience.
