Forklift Operator Material Handler

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position: Forklift Operator / Material HandlerPosition Hours:1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday) PositionWage: \$22.00 - \$26.00. Summary:This role is responsible for safe andefficient operation of a forklift. This person will move customercontainers and heat treat baskets for the purpose of load set up, loadstaging, furnace loading and unloading, plastic wrapping, and placementof finished product in the correct shipping area. The material handleris also responsible for the cleanliness and organization of theproduction area which includes neatly organizing empty customercontainers (tubs, skids, boxes, etc\...), emptying garbage hoppers, anddriving the floor sweeper through the shop on a daily basis to helpmaintain cleanliness and organization. Job Duties and Responsibilities(Essential Functions): Load Set Up and Staging Arrange fresh customerproduct for the operator to build into furnace loads Set up the correctbasket to perform racking and load set up Retrieve the correct fixturethat the operator needs to set up a load. Arrange racked and loadedbaskets on staging racks in preparation for furnace loading FurnaceLoading / Unloading / Staging Load and unload racked and loaded basketsinto furnaces at the direction of the furnace operator Arrange rackedand loaded baskets on staging racks while they are waiting foradditional processing (straightening, blast, inspection\...) PackagingSet Up Set up completed parts to be packaged into customer containers byretrieving the container This may also include assisting while partsplaced on skids are wrapped with plastic Deliver completed parts to theappropriate shipping area Cleaning / Organization Arrange empty customercontainers neatly to maintain shop organization Empty garbage hoppers ona daily basis Drive floor sweeper through the shop to sweep garbage,scale, debris, and other material. Contents of what was swept shall beemptied into garbage dumpster. Resupplying Periodically, it may berequired to retrieve supplies such as quench salt and deliver to theappropriate work area. This may also include restocking bathrooms andbreak rooms with supplies such as toilet paper, hand towels, and othervarious cleaning supplies.
