Fabrication Safety Supervisor
Opportunity to lead and support safety efforts across fabrication and warehouse operations at multiple locations. This hands-on role ensures safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in shop environments.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and enforce safety practices in fabrication settings; assist shop leadership with SOPs, hazard assessments, and training.
Conduct regular inspections and walkthroughs; document findings and address risks through detailed safety reports.
Lead root cause investigations for incidents and near-misses; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Perform monthly checks on rigging gear, trailers, and load securement methods.
Coordinate safety training sessions across shop and warehouse teams.
Support ongoing safety programs such as PPE, lockout/tagout, ergonomics, fire safety, and chemical handling.
Assist with regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, fleet safety) and maintain accurate incident records.
Stay current on safety standards and provide guidance to operational teams.
Full-time position based onsite five days per week in Atlanta. Occasional travel to job sites or off-site locations may require some weekend work.
Required Skills
5+ years of safety experience, ideally in fabrication or mechanical trades.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, and DOT standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
OSHA 510 certification.
Preferred Skills
Safety certifications (CSP, OHST) and mechanical trade experience are a plus.
A degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
