1st Shift - General Laborer

General Laborer Location: Kansas City, KS Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM Pay: $19.00/ Hr A local Kansas City, KS scrap yard is looking to add a General Laborer to their growing team! This is a full-time, evaluation hire position with the potential for direct placement and long-term growth opportunities. What You'll Be Doing: Cleaning out vehicles when they first come in (before dismantling starts) General yard labor and equipment operation Using hand and power tools Assisting other team members across the yard Keeping the yard clean and safe Working around scrap, machinery, and cars in various stages of dismantling Work Environment: Outdoors, year-round in all weather conditions Exposure to dirt, noise, fumes, and other hazards common in a scrap yard Safety gear (steel-toe boots, hearing protection, respirators, face shields, etc.) must be worn What We're Looking For: Someone who's okay with getting dirty and handling whatever might be inside a car Comfortable working in all kinds of weather Physically able to move around constantly, lift up to 50 lbs, crouch, bend, push, pull, and work on uneven ground Can work independently and stay focused Has a basic understanding of tools, equipment, and safety procedures COME WORK WITH THE #1 STAFFING AGENCY IN KANSAS CITY!
