Infrastructure Architect (Hybrid - Columbia, SC)
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the design and implementation of core infrastructure systems, along with ongoing management/maintenance, in the following areas (but not limited to): Client/Server infrastructure products, server OS and associated security baselines, directory services systems, e-mail systems, systems management/monitoring suites, Microsoft Azure and M365 products/platforms, web server and web application technologies, and application delivery technologies. Reviews, advises, and designs standard implementations of enterprise-class systems. Defines and presents options, risks, costs vs. benefits, and impact on enterprise business process and goals. Understands enterprise-class systems and technologies at each level, and acts as a consulting resource to other Bank teams at the highest level. Understands interactions between infrastructure, operations, network, security, and application development - and uses this understanding to help solve complex issues.
What youll do
- Design, implementation, and ongoing administration of core infrastructure systems and additional technologies
- Document architectural standards, system designs, recovery information, standards, and guidelines for assigned areas; in addition to how they pertain to the larger environment
- Provide architectural input on assigned AgFirst projects, serving as a subject matter expert and ensuring established standards and guidelines are followed.
- Serves as 3rd-level technical support on issues related to systems infrastructure and other problems requiring senior-level support as escalated via support teams
- Mentor junior and mid-level technicians by assisting in the training development and coaching on infrastructure related tasks and responsibilities
- Document architecture standards and guidelines as they pertain to infrastructure systems and the environment
What you'll need
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field preferred
- 10 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/systems environments performing system planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software), and optimization.
- Proficient in high-level administration and architecture duties in the following areas: Windows Server OS, Active Directory technologies, Microsoft Endpoint Manager hybrid, Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS, M365 products, web server and web application technologies
- Technical understanding of network, storage, security, and app/dev principles and best practices
- Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA), MCSE: Core Infrastructure, Microsoft Certified Expert: Enterprise Administrator/Azure Solutions Architect Expert
