Assistant Shop Foreman

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ASI is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee and

assist with the fabrication of our equipment as an Assistant Shop

Foreman. Responsibilities include: Work on shop floor completing

hands-on manufacturing tasks such as machine operation, cleaning,

welding, assembly, etc. when not doing supervisory duties (time will be

split approximately 70/30 (manufacturing/supervisory)) Read blueprints

and job order specifications to determine dimensions, tolerances, and

tooling/welding instructions Mentor team leaders & shop employees and

mitigate any issues or disputes amongst employees Assist in creating,

maintaining, and adjusting the manufacturing schedule to deliver

equipment in timely manner Work with team and department leaders to

create cohesiveness, increase efficiency, and maintain morale

Participate in employee reviews and work with employees to develop and

attain job-related goals Look for and implement ways to improve

processes Maintain a clean and organized work area and shop Assist with

machine and facility maintenance Other duties as may be assigned

\*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications: The

ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: High school

diploma Five (5) or more years working in a manufacturing/production

environment, with increasing responsibility Experience reading

blueprints, manufacturing diagrams and operating instructions Welding

knowledge and experience Willingness to learn and comfortable asking for

help 1-3 years of related experience with capital equipment a plus

Exceptional organization skills Demonstrated leadership capabilities

Good attitude and excellent communication skills Attendance and

punctuality is critical Physically capable of routinely bending to lift

and move items up to 50 pounds and able to climb, bend, stoop, twist,
