JOB REQUIREMENTS: Worker Type: Employee About this opportunity: The

Senior Project Engineer will lead and coordinate project management

activities across a range of technical and operational areas. Key

responsibilities include developing project scope, conducting risk

assessments and process hazard analyses, establishing design bases, and

managing cost estimates and schedules. The role also involves ensuring

compliance with SRC design specifications, overseeing drawing reviews,

securing regulatory approvals, and facilitating constructability

reviews. In addition, this position will oversee procurement and

fabrication efforts by managing scopes of work, preparing bid lists and

requests for quotations, and conducting both technical and commercial

evaluations. The Senior Project Engineer will also be responsible for

initiating and managing purchase requisitions to support successful

project execution. What you\'ll do: \* Write scopes of work and request

for proposal for engineering and construction services and contribute to

the bidding process \* Lead project meetings for engineering design and

construction efforts through a Stage Gate process \* Provide executive

level report on project status, support provided and major discipline

activities on periodic basis along with routine reviews and reporting on

project performance, including cost and schedule against target \*

Conduct field reviews for project/equipment scoping, design,

construction support and verification, punch-outs, checklists and

general operations and maintenance support and troubleshooting \*

Collaboratively engage and communicate with project team members to

ensure project objectives are aligned and achieved \* Ensure project

processes and Superior Refinery, Cenovus, and applicable industry

standards are followed throughout the development, engineering,

construction, and commissioning for assigned projects \* Champion

health, personal and process safety, environmental, quality,

reliability, cost, schedule, and competitiveness in leading projects \*

Organize commissioning, turn over, pre-start-up safety reviews, document

hand over and project close out activities Who you are: \* Legally

authorized to work in the US \* Bachelor of Science degree in

Engineering \* 8+ years of relevant experience with engineering design,

project management, and refining/petrochemical plant engineering \*

Knowledge of industry codes and standards relevant to discipline (ASME,

API, CEC, ISA, NFPA) We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills
