Facilities Services Renovation Supervisor - The Marquardt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Facilities Services Renovation Supervisor is responsible for coordination of interior apartment renovation, apartment renewal projects, common area interior and exterior renovations for all Marquardt campus buildings. Includes collaborating with Marketing and Sales team, employees, residents, and prospective residents to identify project and or apartment specifications. Develops associated project plans, sourcing materials, providing quotes, consulting with vendors and leads the project management of the complete renovation and oversight of the projects.

This position reports to Facilities Services Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
  2. Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
  3. Coordinate any necessary due diligence efforts on behalf of the internal team, project partners, clients and/or end users, maintaining and delivering all appropriate documentation
  4. Develop and execute project specific and client driven expectations, schedules, budgets, strategy and detailed assumptions with methodology for accomplishing and/or managing goals and objectives
  5. Guide the resident and team through the renovation process including; planning, execution, construction documentation, and customer sign off and project close out
  6. Prepare various Subcontract Agreements and Purchase Orders needed for vendor and contractor services, as well as manage contractor or vendor selection process
  7. Facilitate initiation of all critical project meetings and coordination exercises with internal staff, key stakeholders and external users to ensure responsibilities are efficiently, accurately and effectively communicated and understood by all concerned.
  8. Oversee and supervise renovation project progress and provide reports on timeline, progress and adjustments
  9. Monitors budgets and contracts. Oversees contractors involved in facility projects and delivery of services. Ensures building operations comply with all local zoning laws and regulations.
  10. Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with customers and family members/ personal representatives.
  11. Maintain clean and safe job sites with all full OSHA compliance and adherence to organizational policies and procedures
  12. Perform project punch-list inspection
  13. Responsible for on-call services, as assigned
  14. Performs other similar duties, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Two years experience in construction, renovations, facilities services, or in a similar position in construction management
  2. Experience managing small to mid-sized construction projects
  3. Exceptional organizational, time management and decision making/problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills with a proactive client focus.
  5. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project
  6. Proven administrative/management responsibility

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:

  1. The ideal candidate possesses good mechanical abilities, ability to develop and manage project plans, provide work direction to others. Preferable candidate has facility remodeling, construction or specialized training in HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting.
  2. 3-5 years of responsibility at a director level in areas of engineering, maintenance, and construction in health care/senior living environment.
  3. Proven administrative/management responsibility.
