Estimator – Steel Erection Company

Looking for a detail-oriented Estimator with at least 3 years of experience in structural steel or related construction estimating.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents

• Perform take-offs and create detailed cost estimates for structural steel and miscellaneous metals

• Solicit and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors

• Prepare proposals and bid packages for commercial and industrial projects

• Coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with execution plans

• Track and maintain current pricing and industry trends to ensure accurate cost forecasting

• Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits as needed

• Assist in change order pricing and budget updates throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an estimator in the steel erection, structural steel, or general construction field

• Strong understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes

• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel

• Ability to read blueprints and structural drawings
