Electrician

Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all electrical systems operate efficiently and safely to support production processes.

Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including motors, conveyors, and lighting
Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime
Read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and repairs
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems
Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to address equipment and process needs
Document work performed, including maintenance records and repair logs

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Formal training or certification in electrical systems preferred
Minimum of three years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in food production
Knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 24 to 480 volts
Proficiency in using hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic devices
Strong understanding of safety protocols and electrical codes

Working Conditions
Primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
May involve working at heights, in confined spaces, or with electrical systems under power
Personal protective equipment must be worn as required
