Intermediate Hardware Design Engineer

We are hiring a hardware engineer for our client in Ottawa!

Responsibilities

• Work with external laboratories to test and qualify products to applicable environmental, safety, industrial, military, and Electromagnetic Compatibility standards.
• Collaborate with third-party suppliers and Subcontract Manufacturers.
• Engage in Design for Manufacturability and Design to Cost activities to ensure product design is cost-effective and aligns with manufacturing and assembly plans.
• Design, implement, analyze, simulate, test, and debug mixed-signal circuits and power electronics.
• Contribute to the development of Hardware Design Specification and Hardware Design Description documents.
• Develop schematics, layouts, Circuit Card Assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions.
• Participate in the development of test plans and procedures, conduct testing activities, analyze test data, and write test reports.
• Develop and execute hardware Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification plans.

• 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, designing mixed-signal circuits.
• Involvement in all phases of the hardware development life cycle, including requirements definition, systems and detailed design, prototyping, verification and validation, and production support.

This position requires in-office work, with a small team of 3-4 hardware engineers. The role may involve travel to the USA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $53.00/hr.
